Now that you are familiar with the area and particular Modus Operandi at Granny Mouse, please view our accommodations. We look forward to receiving your reservation enquiry, which you can send to us by clicking on the reservation form button on the Bookings page.

We take a maximum of 3 couples in the Guesthouse and therefore at table. Dinners and breakfasts are served around a single ageing, not quite antique dining table.

Pre-dinner drinks are served in our cosy, log-fire warmed thatched lounge, accompanied by a wide selection of music and stimulating conversation. Several life-long friendships have been born in this manner over the years we have provided our modest services.

We are regularly and delightfully regaled with compliments to the Chef. This is not to be confused with any particular love of cooking attributable to the Proprietor, but rather with an exceptionally well-developed and sophisticated palate, coupled with a personal horror of the mediocre, in whichever form it may appear. Specifically, of that of an edible nature.
Suffice to say, we do not skimp on ingredients, only the finest will do. If our esteemed guests do not deplete the stocks acquired fresh for the booking period, the Proprietor may well have to eat it herself.

Guest bedrooms, each individually furnished, are all ensuite with individual private patios, pool and garden facing.

Tea and coffee facilities are provided free of charge.

All bedrooms are strictly non-smoking, no exceptions are made.
According to the attitude of fellow-guests, smoking is permitted in the lounge area.

Otherwise you are requested to step outside and to request an ashtray if you do.

The quaffing of wines and beer is actively encouraged, for medicinal purposes.

TVs in rooms are not likely to be provided anytime soon. Guests are encouraged to watch at dawn and dusk for the endemic Cape Parrots, quite likely to become extinct in our lifetime, or smell the roses or listen to the frogs singing, or feel the rain on their faces whilst walking the forests. That, amongst other healthy and robust pursuits is what makes the Hogsback experience so special and we will not aid or abet any distortions of that.
Sports fans are catered for at the Pubs, the Proprietors of which have installed large screen TVs, they will sell you cold beer and love to shout along with you, regardless of who you support.

Room 1:

Queen bedded, ensuite with a shower and private patio (no children under 12yrs).

Room 2:

Twin-bedded 3 quarter beds ensuite with shower and bath and private patio (no children under 12 yrs).

Room 3:

Queen bedded garden room ensuite with bath and private patio (no children under 12 yrs).

We have 2 self-catering units at Granny Mouse House, each sleeping a couple, sharing queen beds.

1. Our simple thatched rondavel unit, situated near the pool, is aimed at the budget-conscious. Quaint and cosy, it has a private patio and braai facilities, en-suite with shower, ideal for a 2 night stay. Fully equipped and serviced.

2. Our Orchard apartment is more upmarket, en-suite with shower in a large modern bathroom, full modern kitchen, lounge area with tv ( 1,2,3,E ) and hi-fi. Private patio and braai facilities in a walled courtyard garden.

Guests who book into the self-catering units are considered to be desiring of being left alone. Apart from servicing of units, which is always done in a discreet manner and at a convenient time, this wish is respected at all times.

Cottage:

16m² rondavel Queen-bedded, ensuite with shower. Private braai facilities and patio, fully equipped for self-catering for 2 persons sharing.
