Rates
Rates are quoted per person sharing per night. (pps pn)
Kindly stipulate selfcatering (S/C), bed and breakfast (B&B) or dinner bed and breakfast (DBB) when making an accommodation availability enquiry.
Also number of persons for whom the booking is required and if the requirement is to include dinner, any dietary limitations or preferences we should note.
Please note that between the 15th December of each successive years, rates remain constant. The Proprietor's children all have fur and four feet and she is therefore exempted from any requirement of the knowledge of school or any other holidays, not having entertained the thought of one herself, for quite some years. No apology is therefore made for proprietary ignorance of what is in or out of season.
First booked secures at even rate!
Rates for 2009 commencing 15 December 2008 are:
- Self catering: R175-R225 pp/night (depending on unit chosen)
- B&B: R355 pp/night
- DBB: R475 pp/night
Rates for 2010 commencing 15 December 2009 are:
- Self catering: R200-R255 pp/night (depending on unit chosen)
- B&B: R395 pp/night
- DBB: R525 pp/night
Important Notes
One-night bookings are discouraged, but exceptions are made according to availability. The reason for this is that Hogsback is off the beaten track, so a justifiable and satisfying visit is best accomplished with a minimum 2 night stay. Remember, Hogsback boasts 27 waterfalls and a myriad of wonderful Indigenous forest walks and viewpoints. Four distinct seasons give the Village an entirely different feel in each.
A R50 surcharge per room applies for one-night stays, when available. Single supplement R100 pn.
Bookings are confirmed upon payment of a 50% deposit.
Additional services
Full laundry services are available to guests during their stay.
Those travelling to Hogsback in 'town cars' not wishing to expose these to the rigours of our gravelled roads may be taken on sightseeing trips by arrangement.
Fans, hairdryers or other personal accessories which may be required to ensure your comfort can be requested at reception.
We request that Guests not use our bath sheets and towels at the swimming pool. If your visit to Hogsback is made during a season where you are likely to wish to swim, kindly bring your own swimming towels.
Bath or shower gels, tissues, lotions and potions are provided for your comfort and convenience in bathrooms.
Safe and secure parking is provided. Car-washing is available on request.
It is advisable to ensure you have enough cash when visiting Hogsback, there are few places which will accept credit cards for meals or goods and even fewer places where your plastic can be converted to cash.
All WCs (toilets) in Hogsback operate on the septic tank system and an observance of the limitations this imposes is requested.
